For a phone bid, you may leave a safety bid, it is possible and even recommended to give a written “safety bid” which can serve as a backup in case you are not reachable during the auction.
For lots whose low estimate is less than 550 CHF, in case you are not reachable during auction, the phone bid will be anyway considered as a written bid at the low estimate.

The pendant was the property of
size=3>Clément Wenceslas (1773-1859), Count and from (1813) Prince of Metternich. He was decorated in 1810 « Chevaliers de l'ordre autrichien de la Toison d'or ». He is recorded with the Nr 890.
The pendant stayed in his family and the last Metternich who inherited it was the Chancelier Paul de Metternich-Winneburg who lived in Johannisberg Castle. It is Ferdinand Otto von Galen who inherited it with other items from the Chancelier. Her step mother, the Countess von Galen gave it to me to sell it through auction with his agreement.
